The Day I Was Inspired

Great night tonight. Went to a presentation by a travel photographer Ian Wright (not the footballer) and his photography was just sublime.

Today's blip is of the inside of my wife's Nain's (grandma) clock. It stopped in the mid seventies on the day her Taid (grandad)passed away and it's never worked since. I am no horologist but this is an ex-clock. It's shuffled off its mortal coil, popped its cogs, had the wind knocked out of it, On one hand it's broken on the second hand it's an heirloom. Lets face it, it's staying and it will be correct twice every day.

In The News: Jonny Wilkinson announces his retirement from test rugby. Great player. England was it its pomp in his heyday. He will be missed, but he's also responsible for a heavy day's drinking and associated hangover back in 2003. 1, 246 points in test rugby. Not bad.
