Quick Trip - We are on the way home.

We decided to take a quick side trip to Washington DC, specifically the Smithsonian Instution today. We only had about two hours, but what a fantastic place it is! There are many buildings and each is a marvel. We took in some of the forst two stories of the natural History exhibition. I know there will be a few more trips to the Smithsonian with my grandchildren in the future.

It turned out the Washington Monument was just a few blocks down the road. I took this out the drivers side window.
