This is Kyoto. I had to hike up a mountain to take this shot, which I hadn't planned on doing but I'd heard about this place a couple of days ago. There are well over 100 shrines on the way to the top. This photo wasn't taken at the summit however; there just isn't a good view up there.

I also got a pretty similar view of the city from up high but at night. And I didn't have to trek up a mountain for that one!

My to do list was pretty much blank when I arrived in Kyoto but I've been given a few good tips.
