Drowning Moth Saved
This day was taken up with a road trip to Timaru to have lunch with and Aunt whose birthday was this day. Lovely day had albeit very tiring. Arrived home safely and found this poor wee moth struggling in a bowl of water soaking a cleaning cloth.
After taking a couple of frames I put my finger under the moth and lifted it out. Of course it was saturated and so I held my finger at an angle to let some of the water drop off and gently blew on the moth and slowly slowly a leg came free followed by a flick of a wing and then another leg and an antenna and final it stood upright, tested it's wings and fluttered of to recover in private... certain that I earned some brownie points; it felt very powerful!
