D-lighted

In sheer blip desperation I pointed my wee camera out the window to try and get a shot of the Christmas lights on our outdoor tree in the garden. This "abstract" is the result.

Been some day in the D household.Not a very nice subject , but we had a choked drain in the kitchen sink this morning. ( This is where I wish I had married a plumber like KirstieG!!) However JD and I set to and after a few attempts unblocked the offending drain. Thank goodness for a home remedy of Bicarbonate of soda, vinegar and boiling water.

Thankfully this happened before our visitors on Christmas day. Years ago on Christmas eve we were just about to go and collect visitors , who had travelled from New Zealand , when the dishwasher flooded the kitchen floor. There were towels everywhere trying to mop the mess up!

The wind is howling and the rain is battering against the windows but tonight we are off to Fifi's for mince pies. Hope we make it!
