Postcards from the edge

I glimpsed these postal cards outside a gift shop as I walked through old town today .

Top left is a picture of the extraordinary Mosque in Cordoba, one of my favourite historical sites here in Andalucía. It had its heart carved out when a Renaissance Basilica was built in the centre.

So now one minute you're walking under beautiful onyx and granite Islamic arches and then seamlessly you enter the nave of a exquisite Catholic Basilica!
