Thistle Down

Christmas Time

Now it is Christmas Time,
With glitter, and tinsel, and light.
Let our thoughts go wandering back,
To that long ago...holy night.

Let the children all come and gather,
Amid holiday laughter and glee.
As they romp in circle and dance,
Round the heights of the Christmas tree.

Let our hearts be joyful and feel,
All that great and eternal worth.
For Christ...who came so long ago,
And lived upon the earth.

Let not our eyes...be blinded,
By the costly gifts...that are set.
But let Christmas have a special meaning,
Let us remember...and not forget.
