Walking with Long Tailed Tits

This, I think, was my most favourite wildlife encounter of the year. Primarily due to the personal and intimate nature of the experience. They are also my favourite small bird.

Went to one of my local lunchtime haunts and came across a tree full of Long Tailed Tits. Took some shots and they moved off.

Long Tailed Tits move along rather quickly in groups, along the hedgerow/treeline etc.

So I thought I'd follow them. Within two feet and sometimes less I walked with them all along the hedgerow. They didn't give a hoot I was there and I totally forgot about my camera and photos.

Sometimes it's not about the photo but the experience :)
