Crimbo Spirit?

I'm sorry it's another bauble blip! I'm sorry it's another work moan! Bt it was this or nothing. Hahahahaha... you might have preferred nothing!!!

Things are slowly but surely coming to a head but I suspect it's going to be another week before things are settled one way or another. I'll try and get round everyone, but to be honest I'm not really in any kind of mood to do anything tonight I'm afraid. Sorry folks!

Please don't read ahead unless you want to lose your Crimbo spirit too!

I know I said I would try and not let things interfere with blipland but this is getting ridiculous and its coming up to the week before Christmas and any attempt to get in the spirit has just been dumped out the window. Team Christmas lunch tomorrow but to be honest I can see it far enough so I'm probably going to swerve it!

Today was the second "consultation" meeting. Since management have decided already that they are going to implement the new terms on 1st Jan, I fail to see the reasoning behind these meetings beyond a legal requirement. However, they finally answered my question regarding what would happen if I chose not to sign the revised terms. I have a third meeting to be arranged to discuss termination of my contract, with a view to me signing a new one where the terms are implicitly applied to it!

Hmmm, I know I only did basic contract law at college but I'm pretty sure that if the party of the first part wanted to change the terms and conditions of the party of the second part and the party of the second part didn't agree, the party of the first part couldn't just dissolve the contract and ask the party of the second part to sign a new contract that contained the changed conditions!

Anywho, when this bombshell was dropped I asked for details of what exactly that meant and he refused to tell me anything... so straight out of his office into HR where I was given an appointment tomorrow at 10am to discuss it instead.

To be continued...

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!
