Surveillance
The loneliness of the lone surveillance camera. No social relationships for this camera - only the cable connecting it to the inevitable control room and the bleak looking windows behind it.
The windows look a bit inadequate. An example perhaps of the inadequacy of windows in admitting natural light into a building.
What is the building you ask? Well, you can see from the cladding its modern. No doubt the architects and those who approved the plans thought that these windows were an appropriate design feature. Is it a prison? No. Is it a office complex for an up-market company or a progressive government department? No. It's our new local hospital in Forth Valley.
ps. Admittedly, not all of the windows are like this - some are much better. As for the cctv cameras, it seems they are an inevitable part of modern life. Wonder how many times in a working day an average person living or working in a city or big town in the UK is captured on cctv cameras? And who looks at all the footage, and what is done with it, and who else gets to see the images, and how long are they kept for?
