Crossroads

My son's fifth birthday today. Later we would have balloons, crisps, chocolate, a cake with candles and some closely choreographed dancing to 'Dull Life' by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. But at lunchtime I was tramping around town in the tormenting rain, making receptionists and janitors nervous as I approached bearing damp envelopes with documents to be signed.

On the way back to the office I bought a Ferrari, a photo of which will be saved for another occasion.
