intubating nellie

nellie is one of our recently rescued bears - anaesthetic today to remove a whole bunch of infected damaged teeth and assess what else we could do to make her comfy - for you non medical types intubating is passing down a tube into her trachea (wind pipe) to connect her to our gas machine and keep her under anaesthetic - only took about 5 hours today ...... some are much longer -

yes today was a better day - thanks Jack! my very sick, scared bear who hates me and life ate an egg today :) small things....

hope you guys aren't getting bored - my life is pretty simple - bears, bears, bears,.... occasional crazy weekends in hanoi - but to be honest this blipping thing is becoming (as you all warned) a very addictive way of keeping a journal but with the challenge of providing an image that speaks to me.... I love the positive spin to blipfoto - you guys are pretty awesome in that way

and now while I should be packing for a spur of the moment cheapo weekend away in hong kong... i will be blip cruising....
