"You can do whatever you like"
(... in response to "may I take your photo?")
I think he's spent his life doing whatever he likes... now, anyway.
Had occasion to go to the city (Sydney) today on a special errand (accomplished) and spent a couple of hours in Kings Cross. It's notorious for it's edgy night life (drugs, prostitutes, criminals, strip clubs etc... so pretty popular with tourists!), but in the daytime it's a charming, leafy, inner-city suburb with some colourful locals.
Anyone who can't get a good blip in about five minutes in Kings Cross must be asleep.
I got about 20 without even trying. I chose this one because he was a nice chap with a sense of humour (which I suspect he needs).
Among his many badges etc are:
The Wayside Chapel
The Salvation Army
Love it or Leave it (map of Australia)
Kings Cross Bikers and Social Welfare Club
Founding Member (not sure of what)
When we do right, no-one remembers, when we do wrong, no-one forgets
Bikers Australia
Certified Crazy Person
Animal Biker Preacher Kings Cross
Crippled Old Aussie Biker Bastards Motorcycle Club
Bikers United Against Child Abuse
a number of Australian Army badges and medals
- and I think the name badge says 'Cpl Randall Nelson'
The belt buckle looks like part of a Triumph
Having done his grocery shopping (like anyone might), he was having coffee with some other colourful locals.
