Had a good catch-up over whiskey with a mate from the same company. Sometimes when I think I've got it bad, he modestly tells me about his problems. Mine are nothing compared to his... his resolution is remarkable and he lives life to the fullest with a solid philosophical perspective. We're both movie goers and enjoy a glass or two of Maker's Mark over ice. Lately when I start to feel down and want to be alone, I ask myself, "What would he do?" and then I'd go and do it. Such heroes you would think lay in story books, but heroes are humans. I hope to be a hero someday but I don't think I could ever call myself one, only the journey to greatness can.
