Dizzy

At 11 o'clock I looked out of the window and the sky was black as night and the rain hammered down on the flat roof below. Today's a day for an indoor blip and so it is. Not an original idea, but one that appealed. Looking down from the 7th floor of the building was quite a dizzying experience. I doubt if its ilk will be built again, H&S would probably ban it. Functional, utilitarian but with a sheen on the handrail, polished by hundreds of hands since it's construction in the Coronation year of 1953. I give you - the Staircase - and not a Christmas decoration in sight!
