Eden Valley

Perhaps lacking the sheer majesty of the Lake District fells and waters, the Eden Valley nevertheless has some lovely views and scenery.

Just upstream from the village of Armathwaite the river sits at the bottom of a deep gorge with many sections of rapids.

I would have preferred extra time to explore here and try to get more of the river in this shot but had parked across a field gateway and you know these farmers....
