Unwanted attention

This is the bus station in Kottayam, Kerala, India, where I have just been on holiday. I think I was the only non-Indian person in this town. When I travel I like to go to seldom visited places because without all the tourist trappings they give the best insights into life in a particular place.

This was the start of the holiday but by the end of two weeks this tactic was starting to get a bit draining because of the amount of attention it brought. India is a fantastically interesting place but also probably the hardest to travel around that I've so far visited.
