Christmas Spirit...

Thank you all SO much for the comments, hearts and stars yesterday - I made spotlight!! This is not something that happens to me very often so I can assure you it is a major thrill for me! I know I am still behind commenting - I have started to catch up but it has been a full day - sorry!!

We had the day off work today, mainly to take my old mini to be repaired. The mini garage had it for a few hours - did some repairs and took it out for a test run. When we went to collect it, the mechanic spent a good 20 minutes with me explaining it all and giving me some pointers for future care and things that may need doing soon. It is 24 years old after all.

At the end of this I asked how much it would cost for the repairs etc today. "Oh....call it a tenner" ...he said!
"Oh is that all? Sorry I have no cash but I can write a cheque...is that ok? " I ask, feeling a bit bad about it.
"Ah I tell you what...don't worry about it...no charge' he smiled, "Happy Christmas"!

And I swear this is true and not one of my dreams!

I will give him the £10 next time we go there I can assure you, but doesn't it restore your faith!? :-)

Other Christmassy things today......some presents came (thank you Amazon), we finally wrote all our cards (to be posted tomorrow), and I made, yes MADE a Christmas present for someone! :-) I would have blipped it but the recipients are blippers and I don't want to spoil the surprise! ;-)

Apologies for the last minute desperation blip - I wasn't in a blipping mood earlier and I am pretty tired now...besides given the Christmassy theme today it seemed appropriate :)
