Christmas goat

In old Swedish traditions, it was the Christmas goat who brought the Christmas gifts. At the end of the 19th century, he was replaced by Santa.

The Christmas goat still lives as a popular Christmas decoration in Sweden. He is usually made of straw. Straw craft is a traditional Swedish art, and many decorations for Christmas is made of straw. This specimen is about 60 years old. The height of it is about 22 cm.
