At the bus stop
Good old Lothian Buses! I don't have a car at the moment so anything more than 20 minutes walk away would be out of reach if it weren't for friends, taxis and Lothian Buses. (I haven't resorted to a taxi yet!)
Today I was out early (for me) to get down to see the Practice Nurse for some advice on wound care. Lothian Buses run a service every 15 minutes along Queensferry Road, down to the Health Centre. I have to walk about 10 minutes to get to the bus stop, there and back is half my daily walk at this stage.
I am frequently amazed at the excellent service Lothian Buses provide, even during atrocious weather conditions. I do hope the tram fiasco doesn't adversely affect the bus service in the future.
Fiasco: a complete failure, esp one that is ignominious or humiliating
