Backstage at The Gruffalo

A fantastic evening of entertainment at our local school.

First we had some wonderful winter music and songs, one of which the children had written and composed themselves. Then a performance of the orchestra made up of everyone in the school - children, staff and a few parents for good luck. First we had some very talented young fiddlers perform Silent Night then the whole Orchestra launched into instrumental performances of We will rock you followed by a superb version of one of the Chair's classics.

As if all that wasn't enough we were then treated to The Gruffalo. A musical adaptation of the book which I think any theatre company would be proud of. The kids were all brilliant. They looked great, sounded great and were so obviously enjoying themselves in the parts. TThe highlight for me was the mouses performance of I will survive!

A lot of people young and old had put a huge amount of work and talent into the evening. It paid off... a five star performance!
