Don't Eat The Green Snow
It's been a bit of a rubbish day today.
I was expecting IKEA to deliver replacement kitchen doors and take the faulty ones away. I got a delivery but not all of it was correct, and the driver refused to take the faulty stuff away. Cue a queue on the phone to customer services....
Then I had to wait for some surveyors to do a valuation, to see if we can do a part exchange on a new house. That was OK but they were very taciturn. I'm not sure if it bodes well as valuations done on Monday weren't what I'd hoped. Actually one was completely insane.
Then I had another phonecall with the terrible electricians, who still refuse to acknowledge any sort of consumer law. So I had to ring and log the complaint with Trading Standards and start my letter.
The only good point was some dye has finally appeared in the gloop leaking from the front steps. This has been going on since the first week in August. My neighbour has got quite aerated about it, understandably, but it's quite clear that he thought it was coming from my house despite extensive investigations showing the contrary.
The water board had even started testing the street round the corner, but this morning I rang them for an update and they said next door has a sink blockage and has been dye tested. I'm not going to say anything.... :/
