Marks 1 & 2

I attempted a 'foolproof' Christmas cake recipe yesterday, only to find that gas mark 1 on our oven wasn't really that. Result: smoke filled kitchen & incinerated cake.

Not to be daunted I tried again today with the electric oven and voila (whatever that is in French!) one happy chef!!
