Broken bed

This is the underside of the bed that Carys sleeps on! It broke on Wednesday when it was sat on for a bedtime story! We are currently in discussion with John Lewis (who until now I have rated for customer service) over what happens next. It is two and a half years old and hasn't been mistreated, so I am very annoyed that they have initally not been very helpful saying it is out of warrenty. Surely a bed should last longer than two and a half years? How soon would it have broken if an adult had been sleeping on it? I sent an email with photos of the offending area under the bed to their customer services today. Watch this space...

On another note, it was snowing this morning. Lovely to look at but not so lovely to walk to school in. Carys had another lovely day and got to meet Father Christmas. She brought home a fair amount of homework and three reading books, so I am thinking they just forgot yesterday. She has loved this term, even with all the homework. Next term has a lot to live up too.

Will is not a happy boy. Not only is he cutting two molars, he now has a huge ulcer on the left side of his tongue. This is causing major eating and sleeping issues. Poor boy cannot suck his dummy and cannot nurse so really doesn't know how to comfort himself. Hoping it will heal soon.

Off to Newcastle (Whitley Bay) tomorrow on the 06.34 train. Nephew's third birthday party at 10.30 on Saturday, Panto at the Tyne Theatre at 4PM on Sunday and big family meal on Monday. Back blipping on Tuesday, but only have space for small camera so be warned, photos may be of dubious quality.
