If only it was like this every day... reasonably summerish but with occasional extremely sudden splashes of rain and gusts of nice cooling air and darkenings of the sky. The wind and heat combined managed to keep the stuff we had out on the washing line dry ready for retrieval when we got home from the Best Of third showing of the previously sold-out Strange Girls, a sort of comedy-horror thing with deliberately-stagey acting which reminded me a little of Let the Blood Run Free. The people behind us were muttering something about it reminding them of Pink Flamingoes at one point. I seriously doubt it will ever see the light of projector outwith a film festival so just keep an eye out for it on DVD if you run out of things you really want to see. A mildly disappointing last film to see during the festival but there'll be plenty more stuff to watch during the course of normal programming until next year and the other festivals are swiftly approaching.
