Quayside after dark.
Left work a wee bit early and went into town to do a bit of shopping and meet the man for a swim.
Laughed at the wee boy who was wandering about with a toy in his hand. His eyes were wide open looking at all the lights in the shops and he dragged his feet along so slowly that he really irritated his mu. She was determined she was getting out of there and charged on ahead ignoring him until she got too far in front. Then she'd stop, turn around and launch an exasperated cry in his general direction. At this point the wee lad would jump to attention with a start and run after her.
Did not laugh at the woman behind him who, when on one occasion he dropped his toy, promptly stood on top of it and while he bent over to get it marched on over the toy and the wee boy too. Jeez, if we can't stop and help a kid at this time of year the world is in a sorry state indeed.
Then went to Marks to pick up some tea. Was fairly sure I wasn't going to cook much when I was finished in the pool, so it seemed like a good idea. However, nobody had told me that when they opened another store a few blocks along mns would move all the nice food too. I saw row upon row of festive goodies (party food - maybe enough to put a lining on a grasshoppers stomach - and at a premium too) but not much else. Typical. The best laid plans and all that.
Then when I tried to process the images and the PC did a couple of crash dumps (sounds rude but more importantly it gives me an uneasy feeling every time it happens) and blue screened on me. So a couple of blips took me hours rather than minutes. I think I am going to have to think seriously about a new machine but for now I am going to bed.
I hope tomorrow will be a long lie and a day for taking daylight pictures. However, knowing my luck my body clock will be wide awake at 7am (something that never happens when I have to go to work) and it will be grey and miserable all day. Still who cares it's the weekend and I am going to enjoy before the mayhem of next week and the holiday season begins!
