How Many More Times?

Well my blip today was going to be Uli in his basket looking so cute. But well Mr Mouse drew this doodle while we were having to listen to the Anglian Windows man go on and on and on.

Our windows are old and a little drafty but more importantly we have stupid doors in the kitchen to the outside world so we want a proper back door. So we thought that we would get some quotes (just for the front windows and door to start with).

Dear god they really haven't changed much in their sales tactics have they?

Price one, but wait if you agree to have an advertising board and use our pay monthly plan price two (which actually was quite good) then oh wait I will just check something with my manager price three (well price two and three I could pay out right now but you only get 'those' prices if you take out the payment plan. so therefore in reality they are more expensive).

Now if the man had accepted my first I cant sign up tonight I need to check the figures or maybe even the second then I may have placed an order. I mean who really signs up to any kind of financial commitment without checking the figures and how the monthly commitments fit in with everything else?

But wait there's more he agreed to leave the figures but as its near to Christmas he needed to check how long they could keep the special offer open for and yes you've guessed it along comes price four but only if we sign on the dotted line now.

So I am waiting for price five and six to come through next week on the phone.

Part of me thinks I should have made him leave - the other part just enjoys knowing that I cant be cracked - I AM NOT STUPID, I am the generation that grew up with Watchdog.

Even the adjustomatic bed people could not crack me even with their emotional tactics - parents were glad I was there that night to save them money.

Also if you come into my house and want me to buy something LIKE my dog (we had to keep Ferd on a lead or outside) the WHOLE time the man was here - Ferd got grumpy.

I'm thinking Arizona.................. now if only I knew someone who could maybe offer a bed?
