Stoned
There weren't too many dress tails today ( ok there were but I will get to that later ) just a day of getting last minute wrapping and shopping done for people I am seeing this weekend.
Present one : I managed to scare/ thrill
( delete as appropriate ) the fed ex man who came knocking with a parcel when I was in the bath .. Cue for me to have to sprint downstairs in a towel before he did the usual game of knock and run that delivery men seem to enjoy. Anyway the parcel was three foot square and took some considerable wrapping . Not easy to sneak into my mate Lisa's house when we arrived later. Yes Lisa it is a pair or diamond earnings .. how did you guess
Present two: took a bit of making and had to get some bits and pieces from the shop to finish it. Half an hour later and with my dining room resembling santa's workshop ( Sellotape , card, paper, stapler, cardboard, lunch time glass of wine - for the elves- chaos !) I had managed to finish it. Just hope Ziggy likes a cardboard X Factor Contestant's Doll's House.
Amid the wrapping armageddon I had to go and pick up a wedding dress (long story, previous life, dress bought three years ago and forgotten about , shop ring me asking when I am going to collect it) so I now have a stunning dress in my lounge. Will never be used and am damn sure it will be another one that won't fit me ! Do you think I should wear it to the Manic's gig anyway?
Took a break from the surreality of my life for a walk in Heaton Woods. I thought I had taken lots of good shots. I was deluded
This is just an unusual stone collection in the middle of the woods. It was so peaceful there, my my very own twilight zone during dusk with the sound of the river bubbling. I have not done it justice: my photo taking fingers are stuck in Sellotape and Scissors " mode .
Must make more effort tomorrow
