We went for a walk, all four of us, down to the high street and back. It was hard work convincing this one that fresh air and exercise were in any way an interesting prospect. But on the way back she turned, and smiled, and said, "I'm actually quite enjoying this."

Then, just as we reached the house, out of thin air, the world was suddenly full of snowflakes.
