Chocolate Green Tea Lava Cake

Spot Dessert Bar. It's one of my favorite dessert places in the city, and there are so many different great things I can say about this place.

The Chocolate Green Tea Lava Cake is a new addition onto the Spot menu since Chef Ian Kittichai took over with more innovative desserts, replacing various desserts created by Pichet Ong. I definitely enjoyed Pichet's desserts that have retired, such as the Pineapple Tiramisu, Passion Fruit Soffule, Dark Chocolate Truffle Cake, and

The Chocolate Green Tea Lava Cake comes with green tea ice cream, a wafer, and an absolutely divine, perfectly consistent and moist dark chocolate cake-the inside is melting dark chocolate and green tea lava ganache, and a finishing touch of bold green tea powder sprinkled on top.

It's a combination of cold and warm dessert. Together, it's a collision of dreams and heaven in your mouth. This dessert stands out by being bold and unique- without a doubt, it deserves its award for being the #1 tapa and 2011 Best Dessert of the Year at PBP. Hope this dessert stays on the menu permanently because I certainly will recommend everyone who loves desserts, especially dark chocolate lovers and green tea addicts, to hop over to Spot Dessert Bar to try the Lava as well as the fantastic cupcakes and macarons.
