Ghetto Biennale

Atis Rezistans - A movement of artists from an informal settlement within downtown Port au Prince that has connected with artists internationally to host the "Ghetto Biennale" in their neighborhood. The artists use trash - tires, car parts, bottle caps, wires, etc - to make unique, powerful and often disturbing pieces. Their work was even showcased in the Haiti pavilion of the Venice Biennale.
