Reprise minus

Once I realised the coincidence, I had no choice but to blip this photograph, a year after the last one. The pohutukawa flowers will still be here tomorrow.

One year ago yesterday we came north from the city to stay at the Beach House, as we did yesterday. A year ago, we were accompanied by son and his family, and we brought T Rex with us (daughter J's cat). This year the Blue Mountains (Sydney) branch of the family are coming in January, and T Rex has stayed in Auckland with daughter. Two minuses.

Today has been wet, wet, and more wet. As it was on 18 December 2010. No minus there. Last year there were thunderstorms overnight; this year only predicted and not experienced. A partial minus. Too wet to want to run this morning; ditto a year ago. No minus.

Sneaked a run during a non raining period one year ago; almost rain free this year. possibly a non minus.

Reached the beach front on the main Snell's Beach and walking on the sand was this man, so that I could take this photo looking back towards the clifftop on the far side of which is our place. Last year's photo (which I blipped) was of a couple enjoying their walk (albeit in wet weather gear) on the same stretch of sand, heading in the opposite direction. Minus? or non minus?

Too many coincidences and too few minuses to not post this reprise of one year ago, especially when (as a year ago) the rain returned after my run with a vengeance.
