Lupins as far as the eye can see

This is the view crossing the Waimakariri up at Bealey. In the 2 weeks since we were last across the riverbed has transformed into a wonderful deep purple. The colour is similar to the hills in Scotland when they are covered in heather.

We have arrived back in Canterbury to find out the weekend has not been very nice weather wise. Over on the West Coast the weather was very hot.
