Finally getting acquainted with the term "climber's high". The climb may not be that steep compared with the pro's traverses but I guess I am now understanding the utter satisfaction when the destination is reached and when a majestic view is there waiting to reward the climber of its natural beauty.
Worth the wait for the rain to stop and worth the decision to just take the 45 minute hike rather than ride the horse to the Taal Volcano's crater. Taal Volcano has its unique charm having a lake within its crater - a lake within a volcano within a lake! As we approached the crater there were several raptures in the sides of the volcano which emits smoke and as we tried stepping on the rock formations we felt the heat underneath our shoes. This was the closest we got to the crater. From this vantage point we can already see the boiling of water and smell the sulfur down the lake.
