Poor bird

I opened the garden door this morning, and there was this perfect, but dead, little bird lying on the snow. It must have flown into the window glass. Should we have some stickers on the glass? Does that help?

On close examination there are so many colours in the plumage, that I studied quite a while to confidently identify it. I always assume that chaffinches are pink, but in reality they are a mix of colours , and ,unless anyone knows better, I think that this is a chaffinch.
