Viv and the captain

I saw the last gig by the Slits - back in the early 80's on the return if the giant slits tour, Ari Up stormed off and Neneh Cherry, who was doing backing vocals, took over.

So when I saw Viv Albertine was supporting the Damned (a band I never saw) I trogged into town. In my opinion she is not progressing the ideals promoted by The Slits.

The Damned played the first and the fourth albums plus some singles and a version of Happy Talk.
