No idea what this is, but it really caught my eye as I was leaving the house this morning (as if I hadn't walked past it every day for the past four years).

It's attached to the wall of the old farm building next to us. I'm no expert in these matters, but it may need a little splash of 3 in 1.

Anyone got any ideas?
