Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico

...it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...!

Perfect powdery snow, amazing scenery and a whole day to play. Andy and Andrew tour up the slopes on their skis and snowboard while Sylvan and I tried out the antique snow shoes she found in the attic. They were proper old school tennis racquet style and got us many admiring glances from fellow snow shoesists. We had a lot of fun walking up some pretty steep slopes covered in a couple of feet of snow and then sliding back down!

This photo was taken straight into the sunlight, framing was complete guess work!

When we got home we curled up in front of the roaring fire with hot cider.
