Golden Dog

the light was pretty cool this morning and we had our first proper crisp snow so I took a bit of time out of real life this morning and played with my camera. It meant I didn't get a lunch-break but it felt worth it.
Here is Sam the Dog (Sam-I-Am Gamgee) listening very intently to the pheasants who were squawking in the forest across the field.
All the gold in these photos makes me think of this. Enjoy.

Only a few days to go til the turn of the year. We're looking forward to Littlest's birthday heralding the return of the light. This has been our happiest end of the year for a loooooong time.
