Christmas Lights

This was not the image I set out to take today, oh no. I was going to try and do one of those fancy schmancy christmas bookehs like the one which Dogwithnobrain did last week. Well there went my afternoon :) Just as well I am not working at the moment and the weather was too vile to venture forward!

I shall try again and I shall get it right. In the meantime any tips you fab lot have would be gratefully appreciated. Bearing in mind I only have (at the mo) the E450 with a 14/42mm lens and a max of f3.5 or the wee Nikon p&s and no photoshop. If you do have tips, speak slowly :)
