First Giant Down

We noticed last summer that all of the giant, old ash trees in our town park were tagged for removal. They were infected by the emerald ash borer that has been rapidly spreading eastward and threatening to decimate all of the ash trees in the northeastern USA. These particular trees are well over 100 years old and it is sad to see them being taken down.
