Double Celebration

I bought a bottle of Champagne in anticipation of the birth of my first grandchild but, as Rachel is being kept in hospital for a few days, we didn't open it when we saw them yesterday. (Thanks for all the lovely comments!)

Today it was a huge surprise when #2 Daughter phoned to say she had gained a degree from the Open University. How come she didn't know she had graduated? She thought she still had another module of study to do in order to maintain her Occupational Therapy Diploma as well as a BSc.

A quick phone call to check the situation confirmed that she had gained enough points to hold the two qualifications! Yippee! She and her partner arrived this afternoon so we were ready to open the bottle.

Rachel made the evening even better by Skyping to let katkatkat see her nephew!

I feel so blessed!
