After a gritty-eye-feeling tired start the day turned out quite reasonably, with a surprisingly large number of instances of correctly-functioning brain, even if it seemed to sometimes be by stopping trying to force it to work properly. Hopefully the slightly increased sense of the foulness of the air on the way home was a combination of tiredness and a badly-maintained vehicle having passed along my route shortly before me and isn't the sign of an incipient snotbeak.
