Change of Plans

Tonight we thought we would be attending Zoolights at the Portland Zoo...especially since Granddad was part of the entertainment tonight...the band he plays tuba in "Portland's Power Pep Band". Unfortunately there were tons more people eager to attend than we had anticipated, so we encouraged Granddad to go do his part and we opted to NOT wait in long lines for the shuttle to and from the Zoo or even the line we knew would be ahead of us trying to get in. So, last minute change of plans found us on our way to Hop Works, a local restaurant, where we all stayed warm, enjoyed a yummy meal, and had some fun conversation.

The kids dropped me off at home afterwards and Granddad came home later after the activities at the Zoo.
