Set in a silver sea

This replica of the Santa Maria in Madeira has an engine to propel it along unlike the original. But I can imagine the day back in 1492 when a boat just like this dropped anchor off one of the Caribbean islands and Christopher Columbus planted the Spanish flag on what he decided must be the West Indies.
