Still waters

Today's the day ................... to walk round the loch

One of the favourite walks when we come here is to go right round Loch Achray - and that's where we went today. It was a very still day with hardly a breath of wind anywhere and the waters of the loch were like a millpond. This is the view of Tigh Mor from the other side of the loch.

It seemed that we had the whole place to ourselves too. We never met anyone else out walking the whole way - and apart from one other person, we were the only ones in the Byre Inn where we stopped for a quick drink half way round.

It does seem very quiet here this year altogether. In fact, in all the years we have been coming, we've never known it to be so quiet ....................?
