Tuesday: Matt

Now, we are very lucky to have a fine local hostelry in the immediate vicinity.  Tonight was the annual Christmas Dinner for the regulars which included local luminaries such as myself and K., Goatee and his LOH, and this lovely chap, Matt, and his equally lovely wife.

Matt and wife originally hail from Charleston, South Carolina, and have lived over here for a few years now.  We have great fun teaching them the differences between the two Englishes and introducing them to the quirkier side of English life.  We have yet to take them cheese-rolling though.

Matt was a bit shy about having his picture posted but I wheedled and wheedled until I frayed his nerves so badly that he agreed.  He then gave in but said: 'Just don't tell me if anyone says I'm ugly'.  Bless, as if.............
