Holiday Lighting

We're in the count down. 6 more days until Sam, the amazing grandson, returns to SC to be with his mom. I came home from work tonight, after meeting a friend for dinner, to find an empty house.

All lights on, TVs on, car in driveway, dinner dishes on the table. The house looked like one of those Scifi movies where the family just disappears into nowhere. Found son and grandson up in the park. Sam in PJs, jacket, hat, gloves, wearing his cool blinking shoes that are too big to wear with socks, but fit perfectly over his PJ feet. Running around, in and out of the lighted trees, laughing. Last minute play time. Boundless energy.

He seems to have forgotten waking me up at 2:00 am last night.

Did I mention I'm exhausted.
