The council are taking away all the parking meters to force people to pay by phone. Of course they put the price up too. People without mobiles, who are usually elderly, have to walk down to a shop 5 minutes away to buy a permit. Council policy is obviously to make it difficult and expensive to park. A great way to kill off the high street.
