Viae
This view may not look all that exciting but it is, in fact, a section of Roman road that I monitor for my local archaeological society. The right-hand third of the picture looks down the raised agger which, if you get your eye in (ideally in large), you can see continue for a little while on the other side of the path. I walk along that path all the time with the dogs, including this morning, but can only really see the road properly to report on during the winter months when the bracken has died down.
Well, I'm Christmas baking this morning and then handing over Sons 1 and 2 to my cousin, Tara, for a couple of days as she kindly offered to have them to stay while I work out the rest of the week.
